Frequently asked questions about Bili Route and how to contact us.
Is this a VPN?
No. It doesn’t change your network, IP address or region. It only helps Bilibili’s player choose a faster route.
Can it unlock region-restricted videos?
No. If Bilibili won’t play something for you, Bili Route can’t either.
Which browsers are supported?
Desktop Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
Does it use a lot of data?
No. It only runs a tiny test now and then, which barely affects your data usage.
Why do some routes show as unreachable?
Some routes only serve mainland China and usually don’t work abroad. Bili Route avoids them automatically.
Why do I need to reload after switching?
A new route applies the next time a video opens. Reloading picks up right where you left off.
Reset to defaults
Turn off the switch at the top right of the popup and reload the page to get Bilibili’s original behavior back. On the settings page, “恢复默认” (Reset) under “线路” (Routes) and “外观” (Appearance) restores the defaults.
